![]() In an immunocompotent host, the common differential diagnosis includes neoplastic lesion, pyogenic brain abscess or demyelination. 1 The etiology can be broadly classified into neoplastic, infective, inflammatory and vascular. The differential diagnosis largely depends on the immune status of the patients, size of the lesions and clinical history. Multiple cerebral ring enhancing lesions is a commonly encountered dilemma in neuroimaging. Ring enhancing lesion is a radiological sign whereby on the image, there is a lesion with area of hypodensity surrounded by a bright rim from contrast. Non contrasted Computed Tomography of the brain shows multiple lesions in the brain. ![]()
